Woman injured in hit-and-run Sandgate Road, Folkestone

A woman has been injured in a hit-and-run in Folkestone.

The victim, in her 40s, was walking along Sandgate Road when she was hit by a red Mercedes.

She sustained injuries to her arm in the incident, which was near to The East Kent Arms at around 11.30pm on Sunday.

The driver left the scene before police arrived and enquiries are ongoing to locate them and establish the full circumstances.

Officers believe there were a number of people in the area at the time of the collision and would like to speak to anyone who hasn't already been in touch.
