Folkestone assault: Teens hunted after boy, 17, attacked near Lower Leas Coastal Park

A trio who beat up a teenager in Folkestone before stealing his rucksack is being hunted by police.

The three yobs are all described as being in their teens when they attacked the victim, a 17-year-old boy, who was walking down the zigzag path to the Lower Leas Coastal Park.

It is reported the assault took place between 10.50pm and 11.05pm on Friday, September 9 near the amphitheatre.

Police have now appealed for witnesses and are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the robbers.

A rucksack containing a bluetooth speaker and a wallet which contained the victim’s identity and bankcards were reported to be stolen.

No serious injuries were reported and the rucksack was later recovered.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “The robbers are all described as white and in their mid to late teens.

“One is described as 5ft 6ins with a proportionate build, wearing glasses and a dark hooded top.

“A second is described 5ft 8ins, with a medium build, short, straight sandy hair and wearing a dark hooded top.”
