Folkestone Invicta joint-head coach Roland Edge warns against complacency ahead of Isthmian Premier trip to Potters Bar Town

Joint-boss Roland Edge insists Folkestone won’t underestimate early-season strugglers Potters Bar.

Invicta hit the road to take on the Hertfordshire outfit tonight (kick-off 7.45pm) in Isthmian Premier.

Potters Bar, managed by Max Mitchell, are third-bottom with four points from eight fixtures but won 1-0 at Hastings at the weekend for their first league success of the season.

They held leaders Chatham to a goalless home draw for their only other point so far.

Edge said: “In our league, no one is a bad side.

“We’re not 10 games in yet. Potters Bar will be a good side.

“If you look at when they’ve conceded, they have been in virtually every single game. Horsham have started really well and they have beaten them. Chatham had one bad game - and smashed virtually everyone else! They drew with them.

“We are - in no way, shape or form - underestimating this Potters Bar side. We know we’ll all have to be at it.”

Folkestone drew 1-1 at home to newly-promoted Whitehawk on Saturday, as striker David Smith got their goal.

Invicta then visit basement boys Concord, still without a point, this Saturday.
