A2 crash at Cobham leads to delays on coastbound carriageway between Gravesend and Medway

A crash on a slip road involving three cars caused delays for about an hour on the A2.

The carriageway on the coastbound side at Cobham was blocked following the collision at about 11.20am after a car hit a tree.

Police were called about the incident at slip road for Cobham – between Gravesend and Medway – but it was taken care of by officers from Highways England and police patrols were not required to attend.

Traffic was held while the vehicles were recovered and the scene made safe again.

The road had been cleared by 12.20pm, Kent Highways said.

It is not yet known whether anybody was injured.
