Appeal for witnesses after teenage boy stabbed in Woodlands Park, Gravesend

An investigation has been launched after a teenage boy was knifed in a park.

The victim sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound following an argument with another boy in Woodlands Park, Gravesend.

It happened on the Dashwood Road side of the fields, close to the cemetery, just before 3pm last Friday.

An air ambulance was called and the injured boy was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses.

The suspect is described by a police spokesman as Asian with brown curly hair and aged between 14 and 17.

He wore a white hooded jacket and matching tracksuit bottoms.

Another teenage boy, who is described as being the same age but white with short brown hair, is also believed to have been present at the time of the assault.
