A road was closed after a boy's leg was broken when he was hit by a car outside a school.
It happened in Old Road East, Gravesend, near St Joseph's Preparatory, just before 4pm.
Police spokesman, Martin Very, said: "Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene where a child was treated for a leg injury.
"He is being taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.
"The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident and is about to be reopened."
The boy's injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.
Ambulance service spokesman Rich Airey said an ambulance crew and two response cars were sent to the scene and the boy, around the age of 12, was taken to Medway Maritime.
