A fun day at Ebbsfleet United football ground has more to offer than just a kick-about this Saturday

A fun day at a football ground has more to offer than just a kick-about.

Ebbsfleet United is holding a community day on Saturday at its Stonebridge Road, Northfleet ground.

Club director Stuart Butler-Gallie said: “This year’s community day, hopefully, will celebrate the success of the club this season and will highlight Ebbsfleet United’s place in our community.

“The match itself against Chelmsford City is also looking like it will be critical for us in our push for promotion.

“As well as being a showpiece for the many community projects taking place in the Northfleet and Gravesend areas, the aim is to develop further last year’s theme of a Community Street.”

As well as the steadfast fans who will be there for the match, Mr Butler-Gallie is hoping to encourage new people to the club and make it a fun experience, with entertainment on and off the pitch.

This year’s theme is All the Fun of the Fair and there will be children’s rides and traditional fairground stalls. There will also be food stands, from doughnuts to an ethnic mix including Afro-Caribbean delights.
