Kent County Council Highways confirmed that police are in attendance and other motorists should approach with caution and expect delays in the area.

Reports suggest that there is queueing traffic due to recovery work with congestion to both sides of the A2, back to the M25 and Pepper Hill.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 11am following a collision involving a number of vehicles on the B255 near Bluewater.

"Officers are currently in attendance and traffic in the area is heavily congested. No serious injuries have been reported."
