A huge tree is blocking a major road in both directions as the county continues to experience strong winds.

Police were called at 2pm to reports a tree had fallen down onto Wrotham Road in Meopham.

It is blocking the A227 in both directions outside St John the Baptist Church.

Strong winds have been felt throughout the county today as a highways team attends to clear the obstruction.

Officers are at the scene assisting with traffic management.

No one was reported injured in the incident.
