Police release e-fit of man wanted in connection with sexual assault

This is the face of a man thought to have groped a teenager and then flashed at her as she waited for a bus in Northfleet.

The incident, which is said to have happened between 5.05pm and 5.50pm on July 5, was at a bus stop in Hall Road.

The victim, a 16-year-old girl, was standing waiting for a bus when she noticed a man standing behind her, looking at a timetable.

She then became aware he had reached forward and put his hand on her thigh.

Because she was wearing shorts, he touched her bare skin.

The victim, who was uncomfortable, moved away and behind the man.

He then turned around to face her, exposing his genitals.

The teenager ran away and reported it to police.

The offender is described as around 5ft 5ins in height, of medium build and balding, with small tufts of black hair.

He had a foreign accent, a bulbous nose and stubble, and was wearing an orange round-neck T-shirt and tan combats.

Detectives investigating the incident have now compiled an e-fit image of a man they believe could help with their enquiries.

Anybody who recognises the man or who has information regarding the assault is asked to call DC James Crouch on 01474 366072, quoting crime reference XY/20592/13.

Alternatively, call Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55511.
