Liam Daish believes he has done all he can to earn a new contract after retaining Ebbsfleet’s Blue Square Premier status.
The Fleet boss (pictured) is out of contract in the summer and is waiting to sit down and thrash out a new deal with club chairman John Moules.
Following Saturday's 2-0 victory against Weymouth, the Fleet are guaranteed Blue Square Premier football next season but Daish insisted that talks are yet to get under way.
He said: “It is something that has got to be discussed and we have not got that far. I’m in the same position as the players. Everyone is waiting.”
The majority of the squad are out of contract with only Lance Cronin, Darius Charles, Michael Gash, Michael West and Steven Springett signed up for another year.
Daish added: “We have done our jobs and kept the club in the league. We have done what we had to do under difficult circumstances. After doing as much as we can, we are now waiting for the powers that be.”
The Fleet play their final game of the season at home to Salisbury on Sunday (4pm).
