Ebbsfleet United surrendered a two-goal lead at Stonebridge Road on Saturday as they drew 2-2 with Boreham Wood in the Blue Square Bet Conference South.

Fleet had taken an early lead when John Howe's eighth-minute cross was helped on by Conor Okus into the path of Jacob Erskine (pictured), whose shot beat Woods keeper Wes Foderigham, on loan from Championship side Crystal Palace.

The home side doubled their advantage 12 minutes later when Tom Phipp's shot sailed past Foderingham and into the back of the net.

But Fleet's lead was wiped out with two goals in as many minutes mid-way through the second half.

Midfielder Mario Noto's 65th-minute free kick deflected off Fleet defender Dean Pooley and into the path of Ola Sogbanmu – the striker scoring with ease from just a couple of yards out.

Fleet had barely caught their breath when Noto's corner from the right was poked home by Leyton Orient loanee Mike Cestor for 2-2.

Liam Daish's side remain second in the Conference South, seven points off leaders Braintree Town.
