Ebbsfleet produced a fine display to overwhelm Kent neighbours and Blue Square South Bet promotion rivals Welling United at Stonebridge Road on Tuesday night.

The visitors’ best spell came early-on with ex-Fleet striker Luis Cumbers and Andy Pugh off-target.

However after that Liam Daish’s side were in complete control, Michael West firing wide when clean through and Calum Willock (pictured) seeing a header ruled out for an infringement before turning provider for the opening goal, crossing for West to head home on 24 minutes.

The second arrived 10 minutes later when Ashley Carew saw a free-kick blocked, only for West to react fastest and crack home his ninth of the season.

The host's dominance showed with a third before the break when Willock brought down Tom Phipp’s free-kick before turning and drilling past Gareth Stewart for his 10th of the campaign.

After the break Carew’s audacios free-kick was tipped-over by Stewart and Willock was denied by the keeper more than once before substitute Joe Howe followed up a save by lashing home the rebound.

Ricky Shakes went close to a fifth late-on as Fleet made it 14 games unbeaten.
