The coast-bound carriageway of the A2 at Gravesend has been closed following a pile-up.
Emergency services are at the scene of what police are describing as a multi-vehicle collision.
All three lanes are blocked while the incident is being dealt with and there are long tailbacks behind the collision.
Police say there are no injuries and they hope to clear the scene by 6.45pm.
