Around 60 firefighters tackled a major blaze at a warehouse in a Kent town overnight.

The fire started at around 11pm last night at Wavecrest in Mark Lane, Denton Wharf, Gravesend.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said it believes the warehouse building has been completely destroyed.

No-one was in the building at the time and no properties had to be evacuated.

Crews from Thames-side, Dartford, Strood, Swanscombe, Rainham and Tonbridge all tackled the blaze.

Some remain at the scene, which has now been cordoned off by police.
