Former Gravesend police station site goes up for sale with £2.5m price tag

It shut more than a decade ago and there's little of it left, but the site of a former cop shop is up for grabs.

Gravesend's former police station in Windmill Street has now been demolished with up to 99 apartments set to replace it.

The unique development opportunity has been tendered for sale with a guide price of £2.5 million.

Planning permission has already been granted for a mixed-use development of 86 flats with commercial opportunities on the ground floor.

A further application has also been submitted to bring that number to 99.

Agent Savills says the "high density" mixed use development benefits from a prime location to the south of Gravesend town centre.

It also comes with the freehold interest and is provided with the benefit of vacant possession.

It shut in 2009 and was eventually demolished in 2016 following the approval of an application by Kent and Sussex Properties (KSP).
