Four in custody over cash machine thefts

FOUR men appeared at Dartford Magistrates court on Thursday and have been remanded in custody over charges relating to cash machine thefts.

Jon Leonard Cloke, 23, of Rochester Road, Gravesend, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.

Jason Maurice Reader, 33, formerly of Valley Drive, Gravesend, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.

Phillip Anthony Scott Turner, 22, formerly of Christianfields Avenue, Gravesend, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.

Tony Clive Hart, 22, of Bryony Drive, Kingsnorth, Ashford, has been charged with one count of conspiracy to burgle involving theft from cash machines and one count of conspiracy to steal.

The related offences occurred between June 17, 2008 and October 19, 2008 in Dartford, Gravesend, Gillingham, Sheerness, Rainham, Larkfield and Ditton.

All four men are scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, February 16.
