A GROUP of men accused of kidnapping, assaulting and imprisoning another man have been remanded in custody by a court.

The four men, all from Gravesend, appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court charged with conspiracy to kidnap, grievous bodily harm with intent and false imprisonment.

Avtar Singh, 27, from Rochester Road, Asim Rana, 23, from Rochester Road, Gurwinder Jutty, 20, from Mitchell Avenue and Sukhjinder Pooney, 19, from Rochester Road all had their applications for bail refused.

The court heard how the men were allegedly involved in kidnapping and holding a man to ransom in Gravesend between Tuesday, October 26 and Friday, October 29. The four men were arrested on Friday, October 29.

They are due to make their next apperance before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court next Monday.
