The academy, based on the new Garden City Estate, will accommodate more than 400 pupils when it opens in September.

It forms part of the of the Maritime Academy Trust, an educational charity catering for kids aged 3-11 across eight primary schools based in London and Kent.

A public consultation will take place at the Eastgate Centre in Springhead Parkway, Northfleet, from 4pm until 8pm on Tuesday February 25.

Ebbsfleet Green will serve the new residents of the estate where there are already more than 400 homes built and occupied.

It is being introduced in phases with temporary structures before the full building is erected in September 2021.

When finished it will become the second new primary school to open on the garden settlement after Cherry Orchard Primary Academy in 2017.

A third academy to be built on the Springhead Park development near Gravesend was also announced last year.

Parents will be able to discuss the school with Head Teacher Joanne Wilkinson-Tabi and Maritime CEO Nick Osborne.

Refreshments will be available as well as art activities to keep youngsters entertained.

Ms Wilkinson-Tabi will be taking on the role next September in addition to continuing her existing duties at Greenacres Primary in Eltham.

The head teacher, who has been involved in the education sector for 25 years, is looking forward to meeting parents and making "Ebbsfleet Green the number one choice for families".

Community Engagement Lead at Maritime Academy Trust Kathryn Jackman, commented: “We are thrilled to share with the future families of Ebbsfleet Green Primary School our vision for the school and the pupils’ education – we can’t wait to see these plans become a reality.
