Gravesend suffered their third home defeat of the season in National 3 London & South East as they went down 56-21 to Bishop's Stortford on Saturday.

They dominated early on and moved into a 12-0 lead through tries by Tom Goss, converted by Josh Smith, and Dave Irvine.

Stortford, however, responded with tries from Nick Harris (2) and Richard Gill, plus a penalty and two conversions from Tom Coleman, with Smith slotting over a penalty for Gravesend during this scoring spree.

Smith kicked another penalty for Gravesend to cut Stortford's lead to 22-18 at half-time and then kicked another soon after the restart to make it 22-21.

But Stortford took control of the game after that and added four more tries through John Stocker (2), Richard Gill (2) and Harris, with Coleman adding three conversions and a penalty.
