Gad's Hill School pupils take part in workshops to look after their wellbeing

Senior pupils marked the end of exam week by taking part in workshops and outdoor activities to help them look after their mental and physical health.

The 11 to 16 year olds at Gad's Hill School, in Crutches Lane, Higham, were challenged to test their skills after sitting their Autumn progress tests.

In their bubbles, the GCSE year pupils attended interactive sessions about school and workplace schedules, to help them better understand time management and expectations and become more efficient learners.

Meanwhile, groups of younger seniors learned about brain training and how it is just as important as exercising muscles.

The aim was to make sure youngsters feel part of a team and confident to try new things.

The afternoon was spent completing mindful modules in art, sport, team building, music, technology and drama.

Organiser, DT teacher Louise Tucker, said: "Now more than ever, it is vital our children continue to connect with peers, stay active and learn new skills.

"They had the opportunity to reflect on their individual academic achievements and then relax and try Zumba, origami, Stop Motion animated filmmaking and military command tasks."
