Lifeboat called after crew member injured on yacht near Gravesend

Gravesend RNLI launched their lifeboat after reports of a man injured on a yacht in the Thames.

The lifeboat was launched just after 7.50am to reports of crew member with facial injuries aboard a yacht in Gravesend Reach

Gravesend RNLI reported on Facebook: "The casualty had been hit by a lid that was under pressure whilst carrying out engine checks. They had suffered a deep wound to the chin but otherwise was okay. The lifeboat crew assessed and administer casualty care."

The crew took the casualty ashore and they were and referred to a minor injury’s unit.
