Man charged after betting shop robbery

A man has been charged following a robbery at a Gravesend bookmakers.

Brett Mullan, 40, of Christianfields Avenue, Gravesend, appeared at Medway Magistrates today charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of possession of an imitation firearm.

He was also charged following an alleged robbery at a bookmakers in Bexley on Wednesday.

He was remanded and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, January 13.

Police were called to a robbery at Coral in King Street, Gravesend, last Friday at 6.50pm.

It is not known how much money was taken.
