Alexander Weston, from West Malling charged with attempted murder after woman is injured in Meopham

A man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder after a woman suffered head injuries.

Officers investigating the incident, which happened in Meopham on Monday, September 3, say they have charged Alexander Weston with the offence.

The charge relates to an incident near Waterlow Road, when at around 12.45am a woman in her 30s was allegedly assaulted by Weston, who is known to her.

Weston, 42 of Church Fields, West Malling, was charged with one count of attempted murder on Saturday, September 8.

The woman was taken to hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

Weston appeared before magistrates in Medway yesterday and was remanded in custody.

He is next due to appear Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, October 8.
