Five people arrested after police called to reports of an assault in Granville Road, Gravesend, which left man in hospital with stab wound

A man is being treated in hospital for a stab wound after an assault in Gravesend.

Police were called at 3.30am on Saturday to a report of the assault in Granville Road, Gravesend.

The road was taped off while police investigated. Four men and a woman, all from Gravesend, were arrested.

Three of the men, aged 41, 29 and 26, plus a 44-year-old woman, have been bailed until March 21 while enquiries continue.

The fifth suspect, another 29-year-old man from Gravesend, has been bailed while he receives treatment for the injuries to his abdomen at King's College Hospital in London.

His condition is described as stable. Police told Kent Online that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
