Man of 92 duped in rocks box trick

A man aged 92 was duped into paying more than £200 for a box of rocks.

The elderly victim was targeted by a bogus caller at his home in Keary Road, Swanscombe.

A delivery driver called at the man’s property and demanded he pay £205 for a parcel he was delivering.

It was only when he left that the man realised the package was actually full of rocks.

Now police are hunting the man, who is described as white and aged between 35 and 40.

He stuck at about 3pm on Sunday, March 13.

Police advise anyone who thinks they have a bogus caller at their door to phone 999.

Anyone with any information is asked to phone DC Andrew Tateson at North Kent Police Station on 01474 366225 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
