The stars of a mysterious new TV drama are due to start filming in a popular pub.

Shooting for Cockney and Scouse will begin this week and they are set to film some scenes in Northfleet, near Gravesend.

A 30-second trailer is all that Cockney and Scouse is offering viewers so far

This 10-part series stars David Easter, Mark Moraghan and Stuart Antony who are all due to film scenes at Ye Olde Leather Bottel pub, in Dover Road.

The director, crew and actors have worked on popular shows including: Coronation Street, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, The Bar and Silent Witness.

Crews will continue filming for around three months at different locations around London with the series airing in 2022.

A Liver Bird Films spokesman said: "We are excited to begin filming after a delay to Covid restrictions and getting our cast and crew back to what they do best - making great TV.

"At the moment we can't release the details of the broadcaster but it will be a major streaming service and it will be aired in 2022."

The series revolves around two former special forces veterans who are summoned out of retirement by 'The World Order' to take on missions including assassinations of terrorists and fascist world leaders.

Very little information is available but a 30-second trailer posted on Facebook seemed to centre in on London.

In that trailer they pick out The Queen's House in Greenwich Park which overlooks the Thames and Canary Wharf, you can also see Millennium Dome and in a cut away a gun being loaded.
