Fire crews, paramedics and police attended at around 8.30pm and two people were treated for injuries.

UK Power Network engineers were also called to repair a junction box which has been dented.

Photos taken earlier this morning (December 13) show debris scattered across multiple spaces and damage to bollards.

Gravesham council has confirmed the car park is open as usual although the public toilets are closed for the meantime.

A spokesman added: “As a result of the accident, power to the street lights within the car park has had to be disconnected, so please be aware the area will be darker than usual this evening and tonight.

“We are working with our colleagues at UK Power Networks to have power restored as soon as possible.

“Thank you for your patience as we work to repair the damage caused.”

The barrier system to exit the car park is also not working as the power has been disconnected meaning motorists will not be required to pay for parking until it is fixed.
