It's said a man was seen dropping a catapult.

The National Police Air Service, which was in the area at the time, also provided assistance.

This was the latest in a spate of incidents involving people dressing as clowns to scare or intimidate others.

The ‘Killer Clown’ craze has been sweeping across Britain and in Kent alone, almost 60 clown related incidents have been reported to Police.

Police have appealed to the public to “act responsibly” and be mindful about how their actions may be interpreted by others.

Kent Police have also said that the act of frightening or threatening others may be enough to warrant criminal offences under the Public Order Act.
