A man arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's body has been released on bail.

Police were called to a terraced property in Russell Road, Gravesend at around 12.15am Tuesday follwing a report that a body had been found.

A 36-year-old man from the Gravesend area was arrested later that day. He has now been bailed until Monday January 12, 2009

Det Insp Ian Dampier said: "Until we investigate further we can not clarify if this incident is suspicious. At present we are treating the death as unexplained."

A number of tests are under way to establish the cause of death.

The identity of the 34-year-old victim has not yet been released.
