A227 shut between Gravesend and Meopham after crash leaves debris

A man in his 40s was cut free from a car after a crash in Meopham today.

Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to release the man from one of the vehicles involved in a two-car crash on the A227 Wrotham Road.

He was assessed by air ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital by land ambulance.

The road was shut both ways after the crash left debris and oil on the road.

Traffic built up between Park Hill in Meopham and Nash Bank in Istead Rise.
