Gravesend shop burglary suspects appear in court accused of Thamesgate store break-in

A pair of suspected burglars who raided a town centre electrical store have appeared in court.

The police helicopter was called to help the search after the shop in Gravesend was allegedly targeted.

Two men were located and police recovered several electronic items allegedly taken from the business in the Thamesgate shopping centre in the early hours of Monday.

Constantin Milea, of Gerald Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Tyne and Wear and Constantin Porumb, of Mallards Road, Barking, Essex were later charged with burglary.

Milea, 30, was also charged with break-ins at other businesses in Maidstone on December 22, 2021; Mansfield, Nottinghamshire on September 22; High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire on August 16; Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire on July 23 and August 2 and Brentwood, Essex on June 15 and 18.

The two men appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday and have remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 16.
