Robbers threaten shop worker with screwdriver and make off with cash from store in Wrotham Road Meopham

A shop worker was threatened with a screwdriver when his store was robbed by two men wearing a blue padded coats who made off with a quantity of cash.

The robbery happened at a shop in Neville Place, Wrotham Road, Meopham, and the shop worker was left shaken and scared by the threats made by the robbers.

The incident happened at about 4.30pm yesterday, and police are appealing for help in catching the two suspects.

It is understood the two robbers held the screwdriver up to the worker's neck and threatened to cut his ear off.

After stealing the cash the duo then left the store and police have issued a description of them.

Both men were white, in their early 20s and about 5ft 10in to 6ft, of average build and were wearing the blue padded coats.
