Teenagers attacked in alleyway in Gravesend

Three teenagers have been attacked in an alleyway by thugs who demanded they handover their mobile phones.

A boy and two girls were walking in an alleyway near the A226 Overcliffe on Friday evening when they saw a group of people, also in the alley.

The teenage victims told police they were walking from Thames Way in the direction of the Overcliffe near a car dealership when two of the group approached them.

The thugs then reportedly demanded the trio hand over their mobile phones.

The male victim told officers he was hit on the head by a bottle and the teenage girls were alleged to have been pushed to the ground before the suspects ran away.

The attack is reported to have happened between 8.25pm and 8.35pm.

The two suspects have been described as white and wearing dark coloured clothing including gloves and balaclavas.

Two other people who were with the suspects are also described as white and a third person was described as mixed race.
