Witnesses sought to robbery

PEOPLE using a busy parade of shops in Gravesend may be able to help Kent Police investigate a robbery on a 46-year-old woman.

The victim, who is from the town, was targeted in an alleyway off Valley Drive after getting off a bus at around 7pm on Saturday, July 12.

She was approached by two people, who assaulted her before taking her mobile phone and address book.

The 46-year-old was taken to hospital and treated for cuts and bruises.

North Kent Police believe the incident may have been witnessed by a number of people at the parade who possibly did not realise what was happening.

If you can help police with their inquiries call Det Con Natalie Collin at North Kent Police Station on 01474 366098 or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.

Two 14-year-old girls from Gravesend have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further inquiries.
