Woman assaulted during burglary at Merton Avenue in Hartley

A woman has been assaulted during a burglary at her home in Hartley.

Police are investigating the crime, which happened in the Merton Avenue area at 12.15pm.

They said the woman involved is not believed to have been seriously injured.

A spokesman said: “Officers attended and are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Neighbours said up to four men were involved in the burglary.
