A robber left a woman with facial injuries before making off with her watch.

The attack happened while they were on a stairwell in Rayners Court, Northfleet, at around 4.30pm on Saturday.

The suspect, who was black, ran away from the scene.

Investigating officer DI Martin Carter said: "The victim of this robbery required treatment at hospital for facial injuries.

"We are asking witnesses who saw the incident or who noticed anybody acting suspiciously in the area to contact us."
