Police appeal for witnesses to two robberies near Campbell Road, Standbrook Road and Dover Road, Gravesend

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of two woman being robbed at knifepoint in Gravesend.

At approximately 4.30pm on Friday a man was said to have approached a woman from behind near Campbell Road.

He threatened her with a blade and demanded her phone before taking off.

This incident is being linked to a second robbery on the same day.

In that, a woman reported being approached by a man between 4.35pm and 4.45pm in an alley between Stanbrook Road and Dover Road East.

A man threatened her with a knife before taking her mobile phone and fleeing in the direction of Dover Road East.

The man was described as white, slim and around 5ft 8in. He was wearing a green jumper or jacket with a green cap, dark jogging bottoms and bright white trainers.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
