GRAVESEND have boosted their fire-power with former Charlton striker Charlie MacDonald becoming their first full-time signing.

The 24-year-old South Londoner began his career at The Valley, where despite only making a handful of appearances he did manage to score against Newcastle.

MacDonald went onto appear at Cheltenham, Torquay, Colchester, Margate, Stevenage and most recently Crawley Town.

He said: "I’m delighted to be on board and I’m looking forward to the coming season and scoring many goals, and competing for promotion.

"It’s been three years since I left Charlton and this will be my first full-time club since then, which is a major factor for me coming to Gravesend and I relish the challenge."
