Former Ross County and Wycombe Wanderers defender Ben Frempah joins Ebbsfleet United

Ebbsfleet United have signed Italian-born centre-back Ben Frempah.

The 6ft 3inch defender switched from Cray Wanderers to Leicester City seven years ago, as a 17-year-old, but never managed to break into the first team following his big move north.

Fleet boss Dennis Kutrieb, who has now made 14 summer signings, said: "What a humble guy and a very decent player."

Frempah, 25, joined Scottish Premiership side Ross County a year later, making six SPL appearances, and has since played for Hendon, Solihull Moors and Guiseley.

He joined Wycombe Wanderers in March last year to cover for injuries and suspensions but only made one appearance, on as a late substitute against Charlton Athletic.

Following his release by Wanderers at the end of that season he returned to non-league football with Wingate & Finchley.

Fleet said: “Particularly good in the air, his composure on the ball is another feature of his game and we welcome Ben to the Kuflink Stadium.”
