DAISH: "I don't see myself going anywhere"

GRAVESEND & NORTHFLEET manager Liam Daish has been offered a new contract by the club.

Chairman Jason Botley refused to give any details about the contract but admitted he is keen for Daish to sign it after seeing him guide the club to within touching distance of the play-offs.

He said: "There's an offer on the table."

Daish said: "I have been talking to the board over a contract and they have offered me a new deal. I don't see myself going anywhere."

The former Republic of Ireland international has been linked with the manager's positions at fellow Conference sides Aldershot and Woking but is keen to put any speculation behind him.

He added: "I'm flattered by it but I've got seven games here and I've got to focus on that. Five are at home and two are away. That's all there is to it and it is not taking any focus away from anything."
