Rowan has played against Barnet, Dover, Weymouth and Luton Town in pre-season, scoring an impressive goal against the Hatters.

Rowan, who started played academy football for QPR and Watford, provides versatility as he can play either centrally or as a full-back. His contract with the Rs expired this summer and the club have previously described him as a “ball-playing defender who is also a vocal presence on the pitch.”

Last season he played three times in the National League for Barnet, his last appearance for them coming a year ago. He has previously had a loan spell at Accrington.

Fleet are at home to Hastings United on Saturday in the FA Cup and are set to travel to Braintree Town three days later for their first National League South fixture.
