Herne Bay: Boy, 15, arrested after Still Water Park estate in Greenhill daubed with graffiti on Halloween

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage after an estate in Herne Bay was daubed with graffiti on Halloween.

Police were called to Still Water Park in Greenhill just before 6pm yesterday.

They were alerted to reports of young people carrying spray cans in the Teal Drive area.

A car and a wall in Longtail Rise were sprayed with paint and a car in Greenhill Road was also targeted.

One resident, who asked not to be named, said he had his wall spray-painted.

He said: "I had eggs thrown at my house last year which made me wary about what would happen this year.

"Worse things happen at sea, but it is not good."

Officers arrested the 15-year-old boy from Herne Bay on suspicion of criminal damage.

He has been bailed until December 12 while inquiries continue.
