Herne Bay: Palm oil warning to dog owners

Dog walkers are being warned about a toxic substance which has been found along the Herne Bay shoreline.

The deadly palm oil has been spotted between Bishopstone Glen and the Neptune Arm.

It can be extremely toxic to animals and can cause severe illness and even death.

Canterbury City Council has warned beach users and dog walkers to keep a close eye on their pets using the coastline over the next few days.

Tests are being carried out on the substance.
