Man taken to hospital after emergency call to Greenhill bridge at Herne Bay

Emergency services were called to a railway bridge this morning after reports a man had collapsed.

Paramedics and police rushed to Greenhill Bridge Road in Herne Bay shortly after 10am, leading to traffic being held up.

A number of emergency vehicles were at the scene, including a critical care ambulance.

A man was blue-lighted to hospital shortly after 11.30am.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to assist South East Coast Ambulance Service at a medical incident in Greenhill Bridge Road, Herne Bay at 10.05am on Monday, November, 30.

"A man has been taken to a local hospital."
