The family of a man found dead in public toilets have spoken of their "gentle giant."

A cocktail of drugs is believed to have caused the death on Saturday of Jack Richardson, 20, from Herne Bay.

His mother, Debbie Young, said: "The drugs controlled Jack.

"The stark realtity for me is that there was nothing more I could have done for him.

"He fell victim to the heroin world a few years ago."

Mr Richardson and another Herne Bay man, 28, were found unconscious in pulic toilets in Margate at 1.50pm on Saturday.

Paramedics revieved the older man.

Mr Richardson's grandmother, Chrissie Bromham, said: "We all miss him so much, our gentle giant."

Mr Richardson,who had three brothers, was a former pupil of Herne Bay High School.

A 28-year-old man from Herne Bay has been arrested on suspicion of the possession and concerned in the supply of drugs.

He was bailed and is due back at Margate Police Station on August 16.
