Netflix film crews have been spotted on the Kent coast filming a brand new series.

The cameramen were seen on the beach and pier in Herne Bay shooting scenes for a programme, the working title for which is Evergreen.

A Kent Film Office spokeswoman says the series will be a drama about a day out at the seaside.

She said: "They were only there for a day.

"It was meant to be on Tuesday last week, but it rained so much that it ended up on the next day, as they needed it to be sunny."

The crews are not expected to be filming anywhere else in the county.

The programme's release date is yet to be revealed.
