A pervert from Herne Bay who appeared on Crimestoppers’ Most Wanted website has been jailed indefinitely.

Paul Bures, 54, assaulted boys in his home and filmed the abuse for his paedophile ring.

He will serve a minimum four-and-a-half years before a parole board considers whether it is safe for him to be released.

Bures was one of four men convicted of a total of 17 offences after a complex investigation that took officers across Europe.

Det Insp Nigel Wilkinson, who led the investigation, said: “The victims were all extremely vulnerable boys and this was a classic case of youngsters being groomed by gifts and taken away on holiday and then subjected to appalling sexual abuse.”

Former builder Bures is believed to have fled to Spain after the ring’s activities came to light.

He had been placed on the Crimestoppers Most Wanted website. In October he returned to the UK and handed himself in at Canterbury police station.
