A further burglary is believed to have happened between 6pm on Friday night and 7.30am the following morning at a building site off the Old Thanet Way in Herne Bay.

On this occasion, a stereo, television, cash and power tools were.

Officers are linking both incidents and are asking people to report any suspicious activity at construction sites.

PC Lisa Riddle, the investigating officer, said: “The offenders would have needed a vehicle to transport the stolen items, so if you saw one in either area between the relevant times we would like to hear from you.

“We are also asking people to keep their eyes peeled.”

Anyone with information is asked to phone the police on 01843 222289 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting crime reference number ZY/11792/18 for the Whitstable burglary or ZY/12384/18 for the Herne Bay one.
