Police search after teen attacked in Herne Bay High Street

A search has been launched for a man after a teenager was attacked in a high street.

The 18-year-old girl was standing with her friends in the centre of Herne Bay when a man approached and assaulted her.

Following the incident, which took place at 2.30am on September 1, she was taken to hospital with facial injuries.

Police have released a photograph of a man who they believe he may be able to help them with their enquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who knows the man pictured, or has information about the attack to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 46/167936/19, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
